DHR Weekend Preview: Southeast Super Trucks Debut at Motor Mile Speedway
Making its first and long-awaited start at Motor Mile Speedway, the Southeast Super Trucks approach race #5 this weekend in Radford, Virginia at the 4/10th mile speedway.
Headed into the weekend with a victory from the past race on June 18th at Anderson Motor Speedway, DJ Canipe is searching for his 3rd win of the year in the On The Go Quik Lube & Tires #29 Toyota Tundra. Also joining Canipe in the Super Truck field is the No.5 TLD Transportation Chevy of Tim Dale.
Accompanying the Super Trucks this weekend will be the two DHR Southeast Limited Late Model entries driven by Bub Haney and Chris Phipps. Both the #28 and #37 will look to have great runs for their first trip around Motor Mile.
2022 POINTS STANDINGS
As they enter the 5th race, DJ Canipe sits 2nd in SEST points standings, just 4 points away from the lead. Running on part-time schedules for the year, Clark Houston holds the 9th position, while Tim Dale is currently p14.
The SELLM hunt for the championship continues as Chris Phipps and Bub Haney both file inside the top-10, 7th and 9th respectively. Joey Braun, driver of the DHR Papa Carmine's Hot Peppers #41 Late Model on a part-time schedule, remains in 11th overall.
HOW TO WATCH
Racing this weekend (7/23) begins at 7:00pm. Tickets for adults are only $15, seniors and teens are $10, and children 12 and under get in for free. For those who cannot attend in person, the show will be broadcasted live on www.sest.tv and Pit Row TV!
