Tanner Carter Returns to Southeast Super Truck Series

After making only 3 SEST starts in the 2021 season prior to switching full-time to Pro Late Models with TH Motorsports, Tanner Dean will make his return to truck racing this weekend at the Concrete Jungle in Kingsport, Tennessee.
Carter's first venture into big-car racing began in 2019 when he moved up from BM Modifieds at the age of 13. Since then, Tanner has collected numerous top-five finishes and scored a career high of 2nd in 2020 at the track he's returning to on Saturday: Kingsport Speedway. Kingsport is a bullring-style of racetrack that is very demanding on equipment and the driver, but Tanner has picked up lots of seat time behind the #15 Pro Late Model in the months since his previous Truck race last summer to prepare him for a return.
Compared to a straight rail Late Model, the Super Truck is a perimeter chassis, meaning the frame is not offset to the left. The truck also runs a completely different motor, shock, and tire program. The Truck has far less power than the Late Model, and the SEST Series runs on a 2-new, 2-scuff tire program.
I like running the truck because I feel like every time out, we always have a truck that's capable of winning. Kingsport is probably my favorite track that we run at with the SEST. Every time we've been there, we've been competitive.

As of right now, this is the only truck race on TDR's 2022 schedule. Their goal is to go out and show what the truck and driver can do while keeping it clean and ready in the event that they decide to run more throughout the season.
Saturday's race (5/14) from Kingsport Speedway begins at 7:00pm. Super Trucks are set to roll out as the final division of the night. Tickets for adults are only $15, seniors $10, Children $5, and under 5 get in for free. For those who make it in person, the race will be broadcasted live on www.sest.tv and Pit Row TV.

Tanner Carter is a 15-year-old racecar driver residing out of Monroe, Georgia. He began racing in 2011 where he claimed many Gold Cup Championships in karts as he worked his way up the ladder. From karts, Carter jumped into BM Modifieds at Anderson Motor Speedway until he met the minimum age to race in the Southeast Super Trucks Series in 2019.
